Nike have a habit of tapping up people for collaborations that just seem to get things right. Recently it was Errolson Hugh for their ACG range and now its the turn of one of the first designers to really encompass trainer culture into his designs, who just happens to now be the head man at Louis Vuitton, Kim Jones. Jones is no stranger to this world, he cut his teeth around 10 years ago at Umbro (of which I still proudly have several pieces) and has risen through the design ranks since.
He has been let loose on a pair of shoes (which I’m not in love with) and this capsule of windbreakers and clothing. The collaboration consists of a lightweight packable windrunner jacket which is engineered with minimal seams along with a water-resistant woven fabric, and will be available for both men and women.
One of the key features of all this product is the fact that it can be packed away for ease of movement when travelling. Jones stated that he travels a lot and wanted a collection based around movement and being able to just pick up and go.
